The town of Karlovo took part in the European Week of Sport with a football match and demonstrations in wrestling, judo, sambo, weightlifting and aerobics. The event is part of the #BeActive Tour initiative, which aims to engage children's interest in sport by giving them the opportunity to watch and participate in sports games, the Youth and Sports Ministry said in a press release here on Monday.

Sports Minister Dimitar Iliev addressed the children, telling them he sees in them future great athletes. "I believe that each one of you has great potential and talent to become a great athlete. Thanks to all of you who play sports and work tirelessly every day. This is the only way to achieve success", Iliev said.

The event was also attended by world and European junior swimming champion Petar Mitsin and world wrestling champion Ivo Angelov.
