Consulate General of Bulgaria in Chicago organized the traditional hoisting of the Bulgarian flag in the center of the city, at the Daily Plaza on the occasion of Bulgaria's National Holiday on March 3, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday. The ceremony was attended by Yinam Cohen, Consul General of Israel, who expressed appreciation for the rescue of Bulgarian Jews during the Holocaust and said that "the friendly relations between Bulgaria and Israel are stronger than ever" in his congratulatory speech.
