Efforts to Further Encourage
Vaccination amid Rising Number of COVID Cases
Sofia, July 16 (BTA) - The appearance of the COVID-19 Delta variant and the rising number of cases made the government increase efforts to encourage vaccination even more over the past week.
However, a survey showed that 40 per cent of the non-vaccinated Greeks have no intention to do so. To change public attitudes, the authorities asked the Greek Orthodox Church for assistance and offered perks to young people who will receive 150 euro in a debit card and one month free phone services if they get the jab.
New rules are effective for all indoor public places as of July 16, as well as restaurants, entertainment centres, movie theatres and theatres. These will work only for vaccinated clients.
