Sofia, July 22 (BTA) - After the meeting of the Council of
Ministers on Thursday, caretaker Finance Minister Assen Vassilev
said that a little over 1.8 billion leva of additional
expenditures were planned in the State budget update. According
to him, an additional 2 billion leva are expected in the 2021
budget, which are due to revenues under the Recovery and
Resilience Plan, as well as revenues expected as a result of the
improved economic situation and better collection by the
National Revenue Agency and the Customs Agency.

Vassilev said that the additional expenditures of over 1.8
billion leva envisage 575 million leva for social expenses, 430
million leva for business support, 335 million leva for
healthcare.

Additional funds are set for the October presidential election.
''We have planned for two rounds plus expenses for 2-in-1
elections, so that we are sure to cover the most expensive
scenario of the elections,'' Vassilev said.

The budget update also includes the increased contribution to
the European Union, which resulted from a Brexit recalculation.
There are also about 200 million leva in other expenses, such as
the disaster and accident fund, etc., said the Minister. RI/DT
