September 15 (BTA) - The new school year, the second one
in the coronavirus pandemic, started on September 15.

In an address to students, teachers and parents, caretaker
Education and Science Minister Nikolai Denkov wished a
successful start of the school year, and also productive
in-person schooling throughout it. Denkov noted that the
arrangements put in in place by his ministry provide many
options for normal schooling "but only provided that we protect
each other". The Minister also urged for strict observance of
the anti-covid measures, and vaccinations.

Addressing students and teachers in Bulgarian schools abroad, he
 urged for dedicated work to preserve the Bulgarian language,
history and culture.

President Rumen Radev, caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev,
other politicians, Patriarch Neophyte, and figures of culture
too made addresses on the start of the new school year. RY/ZH
