A code yellow alert for high winds has been issued across ten regions for Tuesday, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) said. 

The warning is in force for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Lovech, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Sliven, Targovishte, and Ruse.

According to the weather forecast, Tuesday will see variable cloud, intensifying in the afternoon in Eastern Bulgaria and the mountains, where isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected. Up to moderate northwesterly wind, temporary gusts expected in the Danube Plain and Ludogorie. Highs: 29C-34C, in Sofia 29.

The Black Sea coast: Mostly sunny, cloudy in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms in many areas by evening. Light west-southwesterly wind, shifting to north-northwesterly, increasing to moderate in the evening. Highs: 26C-31C. Sea water temperature: 26C-27C.

Mountains: Variable cloud, more significant in the afternoon, with possible showers and thunderstorms. Moderate to strong northwesterly wind. Highs 24C at 1,200 m, 16C at 2,000 m.
