Air carrier Wizz Air is resuming its flights on the Sofia - Tel Aviv route from August 11, 2024, the company's press service reported. The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Due to the deteriorating situation in the region, Wizz Air had temporarily suspended its flights to Israel and Jordan until August 5. For the inconvenience caused, the airline was offering affected passengers a 120% refund of WIZZ credits, a full refund of the original form of payment or the option of a free rebooking.
On April 15, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency advised airplanes to exercise caution when flying into Israeli or Iranian airspace.
