The 15th Bosilegrad Singing and Dancing International Folklore Festival ended with a gala concert on the main stage in the school yard in Bosilegrad.
Between 30 and 40 ensembles with over 700 performers from Serbia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Turkiye and Ukraine entertained the residents and visitors of the city in the course of seven days, from July 27 to August 2.
Every evening, five or six ensembles presented the wealth of the Balkans' folk culture. Performers from Kosovska Kamenica, Krusevac, Zrenjanin, Kyustendil, Melenci and Bosilegrad brought the festival to an end.
On the last day of the festival, making St Elijah's Day, folk ensembles presented programmes in the villages of Gornja Lisina, Bresnica and Izvor.
All participants were acknowledged by diplomas and souvenirs by the organizers.
The Bosilegrad Singing and Dancing Festival has been held since 2009. It is organized by Bosilegrad Municipality and the Bosilegrad Cultural Centre with financial support provided by Serbia's Ministry of Culture and the National Council of the Bulgarian Minority in Serbia.
