Bulgaria Welcomes Ratification of  Association Agreement between EU, Ukraine


Sofia, September 17 (BTA) - Bulgaria welcomes the simultaneous
ratification of the Association Agreement between the EU and
Ukraine by the European Parliament and Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada,
 reads a statement of Caretaker Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov
circulated by his ministry's press centre.

Bulgaria expects the Association Agreement's implementation to
allow Ukraine to develop strong political and economic ties with
 its EU partners, to contribute to the strengthening of reforms
and supremacy of the law, and to led to the country's overall
modernization, Mitov says in his statement.

For Bulgaria, the simultaneous ratification is also a symbol of
the support which the EU will provide to the Ukrainian people in
 the building of a prosperous and modern democratic society, the
 statement reads further.

Bulgaria  confirms its political support and willingness to
provide practical assistance to Ukraine in the Association
Agreement's implementation. The Bulgarian parliament ratified
the agreement on July 24, the statement recalls.
