Minor Earthquake Registered in Western Bulgaria


Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - An earthquake measuring 3.1 on the
Richter scale was registered near Botevgrad, Western Bulgaria,
at 03:40 hrs. on Monday, the National Institute for Geophysics,
Geodesy and Geography with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences
said.

The quake was epicentred in 12 km to the south of Botevgrad, at
a depth of 13 km.

No injuries or damage are reported.

The tremour was not felt elsewhere.
