Plevneliev Condoles with Erdogan on Istanbul Terror Attacks

Sofia, December 11 (BTA) - Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev Sunday sent Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a letter of condolence on the heavy casualties of terrorist attacks in Istanbul.

Twin blasts left 38 people dead and 155 others wounded near Istanbul's Vodafone Arena Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Bulgarian head of State is convinced that the perpetrators of the attacks will be detected and punished to the full extent of the law.

"I was deeply shocked to learn about the devastating attacks in Istanbul, in which dozens of people lost their lives and many others were injured. This harrowing moment, in which many families are mourning their loved ones, evokes empathy and compassion in the entire Bulgarian people," Plevneliev's letter says.
