Bulgarian Agriculture Minister Talks with Director General of International Organization of Vine and Wine

Paris, February 26 (BTA) - Bulgaria's Agriculture and Food Minister Hristo Bozukov met with Jean-Marie Aurand, Director General of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), in Paris on Saturday. They discussed the upcoming 40th World Congress of Vine and Wine and the OIV General Assembly, both of which will be held in Sofia between May 29 and June 2.

Bozukov said his ministry will provide full cooperation to the organizers of the events. Aurand noted that Bulgaria has a rich wine-making tradition and expressed his confidence that the World Congress will be successful.

A team of Bulgarian experts will study the experience of France's Permanent Assembly of Chambers of Agriculture (APCA) about how to shorten the farm-to-table supply process. This transpired during Bozukov's meeting with APCA President Claude Cochonneau. The host updated the Bulgarian minister on a French initiative called "Welcome to the Farm," in which 8,000 farmers offer their products directly on the market.
