Applications Made for 3,285 Internet Names in Cyrillic Less than Month after Registration of Internationalized Domain Name Register .bg

Sofia, March 8 (BTA) - Less than a month after the registration of an internationalized domain name register .bg, a top-level domain, in Cyrillic and in Bulgarian, applications for 3,285 Internet names in Bulgarian have been made, the Transport, IT and Communications Ministry said in a press release Wednesday.

The period from February 8 to May 8 has been allocated for priority registration of domains with protected names.

The .bg domain is administered by the Imena.bg [Names.bg] company.
