Jesus's Humility and Love are Our Weapons, Church Leadership Says in Paschal Message

Sofia, April 16 (BTA) - Jesus's humility and love are our weapons nowadays, the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church said in a Paschal message. The text was read out in all Bulgarian Orthodox churches at home and abroad at midnight on Saturday, on the eve of Easter Sunday.

The message said: "This love is a driving force not only of the holy will of God that is revealed to us. It should also be a driving force for us as we try to emulate God and be like Him. In His battle against the forces of evil, His weapons were His divine humility and all-conquering love, rather than divine authority, power, or might. Humility and love are also our weapons nowadays in our struggle against the sin inside us, a struggle that can make us worthy of the salvation granted to us by our Lord."
