Sofia, December 14 (BTA) - Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov urged several parliamentary committees to consider allegations by Boyko Rashkov, chief of the Bureau for Control of Special Surveillance Means about serious violations in the use of special surveillance means (SSMs) carried out by the prosecution authority and the State Agency for National Security (SANS).
Tsatsarov has sent a letter to the chairs of the parliamentary committees for internal order and for oversight of the use of special surveillance means.
According to the Prosecutor-General, these allegations should be discussed by MPs in the presence of all the members of the Bureau and the chairs of SANS and the State Agency for Technical Operations.
Days earlier Rashkov told Parliament that there are hundreds of alerts about violations in the use of special surveillance means and that these organizations keep silent when notified by the Bureau.
