December 24 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov conferred at the Council of Ministers here on Monday with Prince Turki Bin Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, adviser at the Royal Saudi Court, and his delegation, the Government Information Service said.
The Bulgarian head of government and the Saudi Prince discussed specific steps to invigorate bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, energy, industry and food processing.
Monday's talks were part of a dialogue established after Borissov's official visit to Saudi Arabia in late November 2017, which was the highest level Bulgarian visit to the Kingdom in the history of bilateral relations. Prince Turki's visit implements the agreements reached in Ryadh during that trip.
"Saudi Arabia is a promising foreign economic partner of Bulgaria," Borissov told his guest.
For his part, the Saudi Prince expressed cordial gratitude for the hospitality and welcomed the highest-level cooperation between the two countries.
"This is confirmed by today's visit. We will be working for the successful translation into reality of all ideas in the economy, trade and politics," Prince Turki Bin Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said.
His delegation included Ahmed Al-Khatib, adviser at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and Dr Khalid bin Suleiman Al Khudairi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Saudi Fund for Development.
Within the framework of the talks with the Saudi delegation, agreement was reached on a visit by Bulgarian Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov to Saudi Arabia for the start of work with his counterpart on particular projects. MY/LG
