Bulgarian Company Working with Foreign Partners
Implements European Model
for Sustainable Employment and Development

Pleven, Northern Bulgaria, December 31 (BTA) - A Bulgarian company working with partners in Italy, Germany and Austria has implemented a European model for sustainable employment and development, Elena Kiritsova, President of the Personal and Community Development Association, told a BTA-hosted news conference in Pleven.

The Bulgarian company runs offices in Pleven, Sofia, Varna, Bourgas and Plovdiv. As project leader, Kiritsova said that work on the project is completed successfully as the year 2018 draws to a close. The initiative has been supported financially by Operational Programme Human Resources Development and the European Social Fund. It has used 190,000 leva in grant aid, including 180,000 leva in EU funding and the rest in national funding.

The project was aimed to introduce social innovations in the Bulgarian company through transnational cooperation and transfer of good practice. An innovative model was implemented, which raised the quality of the workforce, improved working conditions and built capacity for the management and development of human resources in the company in order to cope with the changing social, economic and technological environment.

Under the project, the company acquired videoconferencing equipment to enhance communication between its five offices. It thus achieved a high degree of efficiency, sustainability and cost-effectiveness as human resource management expenses were reduced considerably, Kiritsova said.
