January 13 (BTA) - The Sofia Commodity Exchange (SCE)
turnover topped 445.7 million leva in 2019, 29 per cent up from
2018, SCE CEO Vassil Simov told a BTA-hosted news conference on
Monday.

The 1,104 contracts traded on the Exchange last year were 11 per
cent more than those concluded in 2018, and the number of
brokers trading on the SCE is steadily increasing, Simov said.
The turnover was almost evenly distributed among the four
quarters of 2019, unlike previous years, when about half of the
contracts were traded during the last quarter, when cereals and
fuels are traditionally transacted. NV/LG
