site.bta3,341 PCR Tests Confirm 159 New COVID-19 Case, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 7,411

July 14 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 7,411 on Tuesday after 159 new infections were confirmed over the last 24 hours out of 3,341 PCR tests, according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg.

Sofia City tops the list of new cases with 72 patients, followed by Plovdiv with 19 and Dobrich with 12.

A total of 179,675 PCR tests have been performed since the first cases were diagnosed on March 8.

The active cases are 3,341. The newly infected persons include 18 medical staff (8 doctors, 4 nurses, 2 orderlies, 2 feldshers and 2 other), and this category now totals 529.

The hospitalized patients number 529, including 29 in intensive care.

Another 198 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 3,517.

Eight more fatalities were reported, bringing the total death toll to 276. RI/LG
