site.btaBulgarian Pupils Win 7 Medals at 2021 European Junior Olympiad in Informatics

August 30 (BTA) - Bulgarian pupils won three silver and four bronze medals at the 2021 European Junior Olympiad in Informatics, which took place online, the Bulgarian Education and Science Ministry said in a Facebook post on Monday.

The event was hosted by Ploiesti, Romania, between August 24 and 28, 2021.

The Bulgarian medalists are Aleksandar Gatev (bronze), Boris Mihov (bronze), Petar Mihov (silver) and Kaloyan Elenkov (bronze) of the Paissii Hilendarski Sofia High School of Mathematics, Daniel Koynov (silver) of the Nancho Popovich School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Shoumen (Northeastern Bulgaria), and Vesselin Markovich (silver) and Dobromir Angelov (bronze) of the Dr Peter Beron School of Mathematics in Varna (on the Black Sea).

Over 170 pupils from 30 countries entered the Olympiad. VE/LG
