Nationalist Leader Gives Up Seat as Deputy  Chair of Parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee

Sofia, December 5 (BTA) - The leader of the nationalist Ataka
party, Volen Siderov, has given up his seat of deputy chair of
the parliamentary foreign policy committee, said the party press
office Friday.

The Ataka press office explains that Siderov has been nominated
for the job in his absence by his colleagues of the Ataka group
without asking him and having his prior approval.

"Siderov refuses to take any ranking offices whatsoever with
this configuration of parties in the National Assembly," the
party says.
