Competition Protection Commission Allows Bulgarian Telecommunications Company to Acquire NURTS Bulgaria Group

Sofia, June 8 (BTA) - The Commission for Protection of
Competition has allowed the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company
(BTC, trade name: Vivacom) to acquire control over the NURTS
Bulgaria group (a major provider of TV and radio broadcasting
services), the Commission and BTC said Monday.

The Commission's decision will allow BTC to acquire 100 per cent
of NURTS' shares. The planned deal will not lead to a change on
the colocation service market, and all NURTS partners will
continue to use this service in the conditions of full equality
and transparency, the press release reads.

Colocation consists of telecommunication operators providing
space in their facilities to third persons (TV and radio
stations, mobile operators, Internet provides, etc), who install
 their own equipment.
