High-pressure Pipeline Goes into Operation between Silistra and Dobrich

Silistra, on the Danube, October 9 (BTA) - An 80-km gas pipeline
 with a capacity of 100,000 cu m/h went into operation between
Silistra and Dobrich on Friday. The pipeline has been
constructed by Bulgartransgaz and has a gas pressure regulating
station. It will supply with gas all municipalitiees along its
route. The investment is worth nearly 12.3 million euro and is
funded under the Kolzoduy International Fund.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav
Donchev, Energy Minister Temenouzhka Petkova ad Bulgatransgaz
CEO Georgi Gegov attended the unveiling.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said that Bulgaria's gas transit
network will be 100 per cent public while GERB are in power.

Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev said that the gas supply
network could give birth to new industries and highlighted
environmental benefits.

Energy Minister Temenouzhka Petkova noted smaller expenses and
more opportunities to attract investors.
