Bulgarian Ships to Ferry Containers across Black Sea as Part of New Line to and from China
Varna, on the Black Sea, January 17 (BTA) - Two Bulgarian ships will be ferrying containers across the Black Sea as part of a new international line linking Europe with China, the Navigation Maritime Bulgare shipping company, which operates the vessels, said in a press release. The route runs from Ukraine via Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to China.
The first demonstration trip along the new line will take 20 empty containers to China, which will be returned filled with goods.
The Bulgarian company joined the new route under a trilateral intergovernmental agreement with Georgia and Ukraine and a bilateral intergovernmental agreement with Ukraine.
