Mirela Demireva Wins Silver at Women's High Jump Finals in Rio

Rio de Janeiro, August 21 (BTA) - Bulgarian athlete Mirela Demireva won the silver at the women's high jump finals here on Saturday.

This is Bulgaria's second medal from the Rio2016 Olympics, after Elitsa Yankova won the bronze in the women's 48 kg freestyle wrestling.

At her debut in Olympic games, Demireva achieved 194 cm in the qualifications and reached 197 cm at the finals.

The gold went to Routh Beitia from Spain with 197 cm.
