Euxinograd Palace Enoteca Keeps Royal Wine Collection

Varna, on the Black Sea, February 14 (BTA) - The enoteca of the Euxinograd residence, which once served as a royal palace, keeps a royal collection of wines, chief technologist of the eponymous wine cellar Nelly Todorova said Tuesday, on the occasion of St Tryphon's Day, the patron saint of vine growers and wine makers.

The wines in the royal collection were gifts to King Ferdinand and King Alexander Battemberg. Although not fit for drinking, the wines have great historical value. The oldest wine kept in the enoteca is a French Bordeaux from 1878.
