New Heads of BDZ's Passenger and Freight Services Appointed

Sofia, February 15 (BTA) - The Board of Directors of Holding BDZ (Bulgarian State Railways) has appointed Hristo Ivanov Managing Director of BDZ Passenger Services EOOD in place of Dimiter Kostadinov and Alexander Alexandrov Managing Director of Freight Services EOOD in place of Lyubomir Iliev.

The new managing directors have a long-standing experience in railway transport.

Ivanov studied railway transport operation and holds a master's degree in finance. His experience includes hazardous freight transportation, passenger services, and organization of transport in case of suspended train service. Until 2012 his work focused specifically on the operation of Passenger Services.

Alexandrov holds master's degrees in transport technology and management, and in transport company economics. He started his career as instructor and his most recent position was director of BDZ Freight Services.
