President Radev to Pay State Visit to Greece
Sofia, June 22 (BTA) - Bulgarian President Rumen Radev will pay a state visit to Greece on June 23-24, which will be his first visit in Southeast Europe since taking office, said his Press Secretariat on Thursday.
In Athens, Radev will have a one-to-one meeting with his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos, after which the two will lead plenary talks between the two countries' official delegations.
The topics to be discussed are the perspectives for developing bilateral relations, economic and cultural exchange, partnership in the energy sector, matters on the EU's agenda, regional cooperation in the Balkans.
Radev will also confer with the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Nikos Voutsis, as well as with Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis.
The Bulgarian head of State will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and will be received with an official ceremony at the Presidential Mansion in Athens.
Radev will also meet with Bulgarians residing in Greece. Energy Minister Temenouzhka Petkova and Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Emilia Kraleva are part of the official delegation.
