site.btaAmbassador: Ukraine Expects Stronger International Support for Its Territorial Integrity

Sofia, July 6 (BTA) - "Two events that are important for Ukraine are about to take place: the high-level meetings with the EU and NATO, and Ukraine expects stronger international support for its territorial integrity, systemic reforms, and European and Euro-Atlantic integration,"  Ukrainian Ambassador Mykola Baltazhy told a news briefing here on Friday.

According to him, Russia continues to wage a hybrid war against Ukraine which includes various aspects and has no rules.

One of the aims of this hybrid war is to block the European development of Ukraine, said Baltazhy. He said that Russia is violating the Minsk agreements.

The Ambassador said that due to Russia's aggression Ukraine is losing its economic potential and has victims among the civilian population.

The Ambassador touched upon the issue of Ukrainian political prisoners and said that this is an important and sensitive topic, with efforts made for their release.

He underscored that there are no military means to resolve the conflict with Russia. "We insist on the peaceful resolution of the conflict but Russia isn't complying with the Minsk agreements and has violated a number of international accords and is pointing the finger at the Ukrainian authorities," the Ambassador said.

Baltazhy said that Russia doesn't bring stability and peace to Ukraine. It acts from a position of force and wants to change the global rules of the game and impose its model.

The Ukrainian government is undertaking serious measures to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine and reintegrate the region of Donbass.
