site.btaBulgaria, Romania to Coordinate Positions on Common Agricultural Policy's Future

Bucharest, July 10 (BTA) - Bulgarian and Romanian agriculture have similar characteristics and the two countries' agriculture ministries should join efforts to solve the common problems related to the Common Agricultural Policy and trade with agricultural products, said here Bulgarian Agriculture and Food Minister Roumen Porozhanov during a working meeting with his Romanian counterpart Petre Daea, Porozhanov's Ministry reported on Tuesday.

The two ministers agreed to coordinate Bulgaria's and Romania's positions and to broaden bilateral cooperation in the upcoming negotiations, as well as exchange information about the preventative actions for curbing the spread of African swine fever.

Minister Porozhanov noted that the Romanian Minister and his team can count on full support from his Ministry's experts for the preparations for the Romanian EU Presidency.
