site.btaBulgaria's Karlos Nasar Awarded as World's Best Weightlifter for 2024

Bulgarian Karlos Nasar received yet another award for his magnificent performance during the year after being voted the best weightlifter in the world for 2024 on Monday. The Olympic, world and European weightlifting champion broke world records in the 89kg category.

In a video on his social media accounts, Nasar said he has waited for this award for quite a long time. "I've tried to win it many times and could not because of other, better weightlifters.  I could not win it before because of Lasha Talakhadze, who beat me. But the moment came when I succeeded. This is a huge award for me. I am happy for this achievement which I had not won before."
