Bulgarian athletes won six gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the three-day Virtus Open European Athletics Championships for people with intellectual disabilities in Uppsala, Sweden. 

On Day 3, 100m champion Aleksandar Asenov clocked in at 29.52 in 200m and took gold. He also took gold in the triathlon and the long jump on the first two days of the championships. 

Radena Angelova took silver in the shot put with 5.42m and bronze in the long jump with 2.73m. She also took gold in the 1500 m race walk in 13:20.87 and won a bronze medal in the triathlon on the first two days.

Boyan Vandov finished sixth in the shot put with 6.72m on Day 3. He was first in the discus throw with 13.24 m and sixth in the javelin throw with 9.02 m on the first two days.

Viktor Karadzhov finished 14th in 5,000m in 21:41.62.
