The Pernik District Court has stayed the demolition of illegal buildings on the territory of the Iskar State Hunting Reserve, the Sofia Municipality said. The Municipality will appeal the decision and the case has been referred to three court instances.

The court has stayed the execution of three orders of the Sofia Municipality chief architect, which have entered into force after a final ruling of the Supreme Administrative Court, the Municipality said.

The Supreme Administrative Court upheld the orders of Sofia's chief architect that the three buildings related to the Bio Mining AD company must be removed.

On June 11 the Sofia Town Hall was notified that the demolition had been stayed due to a commercial dispute and after the court had granted a security measure.

The demolition of three illegal buildings on the territory of the Iskar State Hunting Reserve began in April. Sofia Chief Architect Zdravko Zdravkov said that all three buildings were found to be illegal in 2019.
