Mountain hiking conditions are poor on Tuesday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) told BTA. The weather is chilly, there is fog in the higher parts, the clouds are patchy, there is rain in many places, the MRS added.

There have been no incidents involving tourists over the past 24 hours. 

According to the forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), the cloud cover over the mountains on Tuesday will be significant with rain showers and snow above 2,200 metres. After noon, there will be thunderstorms in places in the Rila-Rhodope region. Moderate to strong east-northeasterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at 1,200 meters will be about 9C, at 2,000 meters - about 4C.
