site.btaPetar Stoychev Elected to Technical Swimming Committee at Paris Olympic Games
Petar Stoychev was selected by the International Swimming Federation (World Aquatics) to be part of the Technical Swimming Committee team at the Olympic Games in Paris. This is the first time a Bulgarian has been nominated in this role for the biggest sporting event.
He has won the World Swimming Marathon Cup for 11 consecutive years (from 2001 to 2011) and is recognized as the world's most successful marathon swimmer. He was the 2011 World Open Water 25km Swimming Champion in Shanghai. Petar Stoychev is the first Bulgarian inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in the USA and has participated four times in Olympic Games as a competitor.
