Bulgaria's highest ranked female tennis player Viktoriya Tomova secured a new career-high women’s singles ranking as she reached No. 64 in the weekly ladder of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) on Monday.

This is a new career-high for the 28-year-old Sofia-born, who reached No. 65 in the world last week.

Tomova retains her 1,017 ranking points, as she did not participate in any tournaments last week. This week she will compete in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Poland's Iga Swiatek leads the WTA's singles rankings with 9,770 points, followed by Australian Open 2024 champion Arina Sabalenka of Belarus with 8,905 points and Coco Gauff of the US with 7,200 points.

The men’s singles ranking of Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov remains unchanged on Monday - No. 13 in the world.
