site.btaBulgaria's Best Figure Skater Alexandra Feygin Will Skip International Figure Skating Tournament Sofia Trophy
The best Bulgarian figure skater, Alexandra Feygin, will skip the Sofia Trophy International Figure Skating Tournament, scheduled to take place in Bulgarian capital.
Alexandra Feygin has been on an obligatory ski course as part of her training to become a coach at the National Sports Academy Vassil Levski and she does not feel sufficiently prepared for the tournament. The second reason is that she had to change her free skating program. For a several days now, she has a new combination with the background music of the novel Anna Karenina.
In February, Feygin will participate in a tournament in Norway. She has already met the standard to participate in the World Championships in Montreal (Canada) in March.
Feygin's teammate in Denkova-Staviski club, Kristina Grigorova, has had a swollen ankle for 15 days.
Thus, only Daniela Nikolova remains on the starting list of the Sofia Trophy for women.
About 320 athletes from 22 countries will take part in the ninth edition of the ISU figure skating tournament Sofia Trophy, which is held at the Winter Palace. The organizer of the competition, which is for men, women, juniors and children, is the Denkova-Stavisky Skating Club. The competitions are again valid for the European Junior Cup and are part of the initiative "Sofia - European Capital of Sport". Entrance for spectators is free.
