Bulgarian athletes won three more medals - one gold and two bronze - on Day 2 of the European Championships for Athletes with Down Syndrome in Padua. So far the athletes of the Federation of Adapted Physical Activity Bulgaria, coached by Slav Petkov, have won two gold and five bronze medals.
After winning the European title in the 100m sprint, Alexander Asenov took gold in the triathlon (100 m, long jump, shot put), scoring 2,347 points.
Radena Angelova took bronze in the triathlon with 1,671 points and in the long jump with 2.54 metres.
On Day 1, Romanola Sikander, Radena Angelova, Boyan Vandev and Alexander Asenov finished third in the 4x100m mixed medley relay.
Bulgarian athletes are yet to compete in the shot put, 200m and 1500m.
