Bulgarian Shooting Union (BSU) President Vesela Letcheva Friday held a working meeting with Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov in Baku, the BSU said. The two discussed possible cooperation in shooting sports between their countries.

The 53rd ISSF World Shooting Championships kicked off in Baku on August 15.

The BSU quoted on its website Letcheva as saying from Baku that she was very glad she met with the Azerbaijani official. "Gayibov was very familiar with our successes and traditions in the shooting sports. I hope that in the coming months we will go to joint camps with the Azerbaijani athletes and will invite them to the overhauled shooting range in Sofia's Geo Milev residential district, which will open by the year's end. I wish all our athletes success at the World Shooting Championships and will be by their side in the coming days. I take every opportunity to see my colleagues from other federations. We exchange ideas and talk about the development of shooting sports."
