The Sofia police announced measures in connection with the upcoming UEFA Europa Conference League football match between the teams of Levski Sofia and Hapoel Be'er Sheva on Thursday evening at the Vivacom Arena Georgi Asparuhov Stadium.

No visibly intoxicated people will be allowed in the stadium, as well as no firearms, pyrotechnics, knives, clubs, boxes, bottles, perfumes, umbrellas, etc.

Private security companies are in charge of security during the football match and their task is to maintain order at the stadium. They will be assisted in their activities by police officers who will intervene if necessary.

In order to avoid crowding, spectators are asked to take advantage of the earlier opening of the stadium entrances. Doors will be open to visitors at 18:00.

In connection with the sporting event, temporary traffic congestion may occur in the central part of the city in the afternoon hours, warned the Sofia police.

Strict measures have been taken by the organiser to prevent visitors banned from attending sporting events from going to the match. Minors will only be allowed into the stadium with an adult chaperone and a pre-filled declaration, which can be downloaded from the internet. Levski fans will be admitted at the open entrances of sectors A, B and C and those of Hapoel Be'er Sheva at sector D.

The Israeli team landed in Sofia on August 15.
