Bulgaria beat Croatia 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-18) in its first match at the 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship on Wednesday.

The Bulgaria team led by Lorezno Micelli dominated the match at Arena Di Monza on Day 2 of CEV EuroVolley Women. On Thursday, Bulgaria will play Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the other two Pool B matches, Italy beat Romania 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-15) and Switzerland lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-3 (25-16, 15-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-17).
