Bulgarian World Junior Record holder Petar Mitsin earned gold in the men's 400m freestyle final at the LEN U23 Swimming Championships in Dublin. Mitsin, who is turning 18 in a week and is the youngest of all finalists, clocked in at 3:46.16.
Daniel Wiffen (Ireland) finished second with a time of 3:47.57, and Rex Maurer (USA) was third with 3:47.63.
Another Bulgarian, Yordan Yanchev, finished fifth with a time of 3:51.09.
