site.btaJan. 2025 Industrial Production Up by 0.8% in Euro Area, 0.3% in the EU, Down by 2% in Bulgaria

In January 2025 compared with December 2024, seasonally adjusted industrial production data was up by 0.8% in the euro area and by 0.3% in the EU, and down by 2% in Bulgaria, according to Eurostat estimates released Thursday. 

In Bulgaria, industrial production grew by 0.9% in August and 1.3% in September, and then declined 0.9% in October, 0.3% in November and 2.2% in December 2024. 

The January decline is 3.4% year-on-year.

Among Member States for which data are available, the highest monthly increases were recorded in Lithuania (+4.6%), Portugal (+3.7%) and Austria (+3.3%). The largest decreases were observed in Malta (-12.9%), Denmark (-10.6%) and Slovakia (-7.3%), Eurostat said.
