site.btaSofia Airport Handles over 5,000 Flights in January

Sofia Airport reported more than 5,000 flights to 91 destinations in 36 countries for January 2025 on Facebook.

Passengers at the airport were service by 35 air carriers.

London topped the list of travellers' destinations, with the city attracting business opportunities and cultural diversity. Tel Aviv climbs the rankings with its solar power, ancient markets and high-tech scene, the airport said. Other preferred destinations include Istanbul, Vienna and Milan.  

In December 2024, 4,993 flights were operated from Sofia Airport to 81 destinations in 33 countries, serviced by 29 airlines.
