site.btaCentral Bank Lowers Base Interest Rate to 3.43% as of October 1

The Bulgarian National Bank Monday announced a base interest rate (simple per annum interest) of 3.43% as of October 1, the central bank said in a press release. In comparison, the base interest rate was 3.54% in September, 3.53% in August, 3.63% in July, and 3.87% in June and May alike.

In the January-April period, the base interest rate stood at 3.79%, except in March when it was 3.80%, the highest level since the zero levels of the last several years.
