site.btaCouncil of Ministers Cancels Bulgaria’s Participation in Webit International Exhibition

At its regular sitting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers adopted a decision to cancel Bulgaria's participation as an official partner country of the Webit international exhibition, which will take place on October 30 and 31 in Sofia.

Bulgaria's participation in Webit is cancelled due to a number of inconsistencies with the market mechanisms and with the 2024 commitments of the Economy and Industry Ministry, the Innovation and Growth Ministry and the Education and Science Ministry, as well as with their actual capacities to proceed.

The decision is necessitated by the ambiguity regarding the initial organisational concept of Bulgaria’s participation as an official partner country and by the related difficulties regarding the commitments made by the three responsible institutions.
