site.btaTen Persons Honoured with Golden Rose Award for Contribution to Bulgarian Tourism
Tourism Minister Evtim Miloshev Wednesday honoured with the Golden Rose Award ten distinguished persons whose achievements have shaped modern Bulgarian tourism. The award which acknowledges dedication and contribution to the sector was given to pioneers, visionaries and academic representatives who have helped develop the tourism industry in Bulgaria.
The recipients of the award were Georgi Kochov, Georgi Pamporov, Galab Cherpokov, Ivan Ivanov, Prof Ivan Markov, Prof Manol Ribov, Prof Marin Neshkov, Prof Maria Vodenska, Prof Nikolina Popova and Prof Svetla Rakadzhiyska. Their contributions span various areas of tourism, from research and education to strategic management and promotion of Bulgaria's tourism product, both domestically and internationally.
"Tourism has deep roots in Bulgaria. It is an inseparable part of our economy and culture. Organized tourism began with small steps, but has grown into a journey that spans generations. Once, our country was an inspiration for many of today's major tourism nations," said Miloshev.
