A discussion forum on European decarbonisation policy and the role of energy communities in Bulgaria will be held on Thursday morning at the House of Europe in Sofia. It is organized by the Chamber of Energy Communities in Bulgaria and the Institute for Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development and Innovation.
The forum will focus on the topic of building and benefitting energy communities as an important part of the energy transition. The discussion is expected to outline the current problems and possible solutions for the creation of a community energy system, the organizers said.
Invited to attend are Deputy Minister of Energy Iva Petrova, Sustainable Energy Development Agency Executive Director Ivaylo Alexiev, as well as energy experts, mayors, representatives of higher education institutions and NGOs.
Among the topics to be addressed are the barriers and development prospects for energy communities, new challenges for energy networks, and best practices in the creation of energy communities.
