Newly elected Commission for Consumer Protection (CPC) Chair Maria Filipova said in a BTA interview that it is extremely important to restore the dialogue and improve the awareness of consumers and traders through prevention.
"I will react immediately where even minimal risk factors for consumers are found," she said.
Filipova explained that the CPC is working to increase the level of awareness and consumer protection, and this will automatically lead to an increase in trust in the institution. She argued that even the most difficult problems can be solved with an active dialogue.
Filipova also pointed out that the most valuable resource of the CPC are its long-term employees who are dedicated to their work. "Such a team is the strongest resource for improving the quality of goods and services in the country. A strong society leads to a stronger economy and an increasingly strong state structure," she was adamant.
CPC Chair added that Commission is already holding open hours to discuss ways to improve dialogue and trust between consumers and traders.
