Over 200 companies from 14 countries will participate in the 78th International Technical Fair dedicated to innovations in transport infrastructure. The forum will be held between September 25 and 28, 2024, in Plovdiv, the International Plovdiv Fair said on its website.

The International Technical Fair is an established brand in the exhibition industry and a trademark of the International Fair Plovdiv. During the event, participants will have exhibitions dedicated to construction, energy, digital technologies, aviation, mechanical engineering, and the circular economy.

Among the highlights of the International Technical Fair will be a specialized exhibition for transport infrastructure, which will showcase the best innovative companies and service providers globally. Foreign participants will make up nearly 60% of the total number of companies represented this year, the organizers said. Companies from 14 countries have signed up for the exhibition, including Serbia, Romania, Poland, Turkiye, India, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Moldova, and Japan.

The Regional Congress of International Road Federation (IRF) Europe and Central Asia will take place in parallel with the fair in Plovdiv. For the first time, the IRF has chosen Bulgaria to hold its event. The Congress will be held in conjunction with the 17th National Conference on Transport Infrastructure on the future of mobility and infrastructure.

More than 1,500 delegates and 200 speakers will participate in 20 thematic sessions. The conference will also feature an exhibition of products by leading companies in road construction, specialized software, smart road markings, equipment manufacturing and supply, design, and engineering.

Participants in the upcoming four-day forum will discuss topics in the fields of electronics and electrical engineering, energy and ecology, information and digital technologies, robotics and automation, mechanical engineering, construction, chemical industry, the water sector, transport and automotive equipment, automotive industry, and business services, the organizers said.

During the Fair, an International Competition will be held in the following categories: machine building and robotic systems; electronics and electrical engineering, information and digital technologies, telecommunications, office equipment; transport and auto service equipment; energy and ecology, technology and water management, chemical industry; construction. The winners will be awarded gold medals.
